Reaping the harvest

The field behind our house does not belong to us, it is a neighbors who lives about a mile down the road.  We are hoping some day he will sell it to us but so far he isn't interested.  This year he planted soy beans back there and they have been dry for a while so we were have been waiting to see the combine arrive to harvest them.   It came by yesterday afternoon and boy, did the dust fly.  We were thankful that the wind was in the direction away from the house or we would have had a house full of dirt.  Since only a few days a year anything happens behind our house it is always an exciting day.  One year he harvested when we were gone and when we came home the field was empty.  All of us, especially the kids, were disappointed we missed it.
